Due to growing concern regarding Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Laurier’s ICT Department has provided students with the ability to access AppsAnywhere from home. AppsAnywhere is a free service that is available to Laurier students, staff and faculty to access software, on-demand, anytime, from anywhere.

*Go to appsanywhere.wlu.ca and sign in your mylaurier.ca credentials.
*Click on “It’s my first time using AppsAnywhere on this device” to start the download.
*Open the file when the download is completed. Accept the defaults and click Next until it starts the installation process. You should see a pop-up window with the AppsAnywhere logo.
*In your browser, you’ll find a pop-up asking to open the AppsAnywhere launcher. Check the box next to ’Always open these types of links in the associate app’ and click the ’Open AppsAnywhere Launcher’ button. If the installer is not moving, you may need to reboot.
*When you see a pop-up from your firewall, click ’Allow access.’
*In your browser, there will be a pop-up asking ’Did you install AppsAnywhere on your device?’ Check the box next to “Do not show me this again” and click the green “I have it already” button.
*Close your browser and go back into appsanywhere.wlu.ca.
*Across the top of the web page, you will see a green box that says “Validation completed.” Then, all available apps will be listed on the page.
*Hover over an app and click “Launch.” The player will pop up – leave this open. Once the app says “running” click the green ’Launch’ button and enjoy!
